During the session of IMCO (Internal Market Committee, European Parliament) on 9 September, the rapporteur Catherine Neris (PSE, France).

The Commission wanted to adapt its text to the requirements of the new Goods Package, but the specific features of the industry, the acquis stemming from the implementation of the Construction Products Directive (CPD) and the intermediary nature of construction products have made some exceptions necessary.
