Last week the French public channel France 2 broadcasted a journalistic documentary on food labels in France. Since more than one French consumer out of two claims trusting the labels, the journalists decided to verify the quality and the reliability of those labels. In the mentioned report, the journalists present the differences between state-controlled labels and private labels, which are sometimes on the verge between advertisement and guarantee of quality. They also explain how trustworthy labels are granted and the importance of third-party inspection.
